A PUBLIC FORUM ON RURAL HEALTH AND
HEALTHCARE IN CATTARAGUS COUNTY
On September 22nd in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, the
Health Care Access Coalition and the DePerro School of Health
Professions partnered to sponsor a free public panel event that
provided an overview of the healthcare system in Cattaraugus
County. Led by Dr. Kevin Watkins and moderated by Dr. Rich Lee,
the conversation shed light on where Cattaraugus County stands in
terms of mortality, morbidity, and other health indicators
compared with other New York State counties and the nation as a
whole. We heard from current St. Bonaventure University
professors, an employee benefits consultant, a family medicine
physician, and a pharmacist and pharmacy owner, each of whom
provided a unique perspective on the interconnected sphere of
