Seasonal Health Tip: Spring Allergy
Management
-Start taking your allergy meds early! It is
best to start using antihistamines or nasal
sprays 2-4 weeks before your allergy
season typically begins.
-Monitor pollen by checking local
forecasts and avoiding spending periods
of time outdoors on dry, windy days.
-Remember to brush your pets after they
have been outside as pollen sticks to their
fur!

Seasonal depression is prevalent in the
winter, but this can last into the spring-especially being in Western New York where
it can take a while to warm up. Here are some
tips to help your mental health during this
challenging time of year:
Light therapy
Self-care
Maintain a consistent routine
Find ways to move your body
Getting outside when possible
Stay connected with friends, family, other
people on campus
Mindfulness activities like journaling or
reading
